Verse: Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Devotion
It’s easy to be anxious about the unknown. There are so many uncertain paths a situation could take, and the older you are the more you understand how little control you actually have in most cases. But here Paul exhorts us to take heart and trust no matter what.

Trusting can be hard to do. Especially if we feel we have not seen God working in our lives. But these verses are the key to trusting Him. When we come before God with our hearts humbly sharing our needs He knows our sincerity. When in gratitude we place ourselves before Him knowing we are nothing without him, he hears us and holds our words with regard.

The same omnipotent Lord fought all earthly battles when he was crucified on the cross and we can know that even our present situation can be brought before Him knowing that He sees the bigger picture and will work all things out for our good in the end.

Be encouraged today to pray with earnest fervor knowing that God hears you and wants what is best for your life. Gratefully come before him and give him permission to work in your life and welcome in the best pathway for each of your days. And rest in His peace that passes all understanding. For He truly is Almighty.
