Verse: Romans 8:31-33
31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

Devotion
This has to be one of the most incredible verses. Can you let this truth sink in? God is for you. Think about that. God is for you. When someone is for you, they are on your side. They are in your corner. They are working for your good. They believe in you. They are supporting you, strengthening you, fighting for you, and lifting you up. Is this how you think about God in your life? Also, think about this: God is for you. This isn’t just about people in general, it is about you specifically. Can you hear that? God is for you, __________ (fill in your name). Or say this to yourself, “God is for me.” He is!! How amazing is that?

On top of that, this verse tells us that he is so completely for you that he gave his own Son. And Paul’s logic as he writes this is, “if you doubt God’s generosity, just think about him giving you Jesus.” If he gave us Jesus, that’s the ultimate gift. That’s the MOST he could ever give us. So if he gave us Jesus already “how will he not also…graciously give us all things?” Ephesians 1:3 tells us that God has blessed us with “every spiritual blessing in Christ.” As we go through our day, our week, our year, our life….God is giving us all that we need and more. He is giving us wisdom, strength, grace, forgiveness, insight, prayer, friendship, love, and more.

What are you facing today? What are facing this year? Do you need to hear that God is for you? Do you need to hear that he will be generous in giving you whatever you need to face what’s in front of you? Take some time right now to pause and think about how great this gift really is, and what it means to you.
